Amazing game, but with some issues. The swipe inputs frequently fail to register or are misread—turning a right-swipe into an unintended jump. The reward system feels very lackluster. Also the outfits need to be different styles not just different colors for each character. Especially the legendary outfit. it's all the same for each character. Each character needs to represent their own individual style.

A fun improvement on the last game! I love that theres not a focus on buying items to help in a run, and more of a focus on upgrading characters and boards. Different characters get different boosts once you level them, and that makes it so characters you might not normally play with are worth using. The only issue is that if you have the coin for an upgrade, there will be a little red notification next to it. I know its helpful for some people, but I'd like the option to turn those off.

I booted up the game. It looks like what it is; a beautifully updated Subway Surfers. Nice graphics, better UI, fun new mechanics. Great Stuff. I play for a bit, get shown some predictable optional ad rewards, whatever. Also there's a battle pass with a character locked behind it now, fine. Then they play a forced ad after a run. Then another. Why? Why would you add forced ads into a Subway Surfer game? I thoroughly enjoyed myself for 20 min before this happened, and now here I am disappointed.

I'm totally new to the SS games, and this game is my introduction. It's SUPER fun. There are some small issues, though. Every once in a while during a game, an input may not go through, or an impossible obstacle barrage will greet me, or pickups and obstacles won't load in for a moment after a revive. I also think there's too much stuff plastered on the top menu. I dunno what a battle pass is doing here, either. Those will all hopefully be fixed through updates; I'm looking forward to it!

So far, I've only been playing for a day, but it's a surprising amount of fun! Almost as good as the original, heck, probably as good! it's rare to find mobile games that are actually fun, and this one definitely is! the only thing the original did best was the music, but music here ain't bad either! only real problem I have is the surfer pass. season passes tend to be more annoying than fun. I understand the need to keep players engaged but feeding off fomo isn't exactly very moral. banger tho!

This is a much needed upgrade to the old game. The new mechanics are better in my opinion. I love how upgrading all characters increase the overall score, and I'm loving the verticality in levels as it adds new depths to the run. and I specifically adore the increased difficulty. however, the music in some levels feel dull or disengaging. also, coins are so difficult to obtain and upgrades are very expensive. lastly, I noticed a lot of repetition throughout the levels. it needs more variety.

Loving the game so far. My only four complaints are: 1) Fix the lag please 2) I wish the tickets didn't take so long to regenerate. 3) There should be other avenues of getting characters/ boards. Having characters behind a pay wall or season pass that cost money is crazy. 4) The super mystery box shouldn't be 100 keys when you're not even getting anything of value in return. The amount of tokens, coins, and credits you get... whether you get the jackpot or not is just sad. Overall good game.

If you like the original game you'll like this one too. One complaint are there are too many ads. They play even if you choose to skip watching ads. When you do choose to watch the ads, it freezes the game more often than not and you dont receive the rewards after watching it. Having to purchase a season pass to unlock some surfers isn't fun either. I'll continue to play but if they don't put more ways to unlock characters it will get boring.

fun, often randomly closes during runs and is extremely laggy. one of the most popular characters is behind a pay wall. the trials for the docks are IMPOSSIBLE since there's only one character unlocked for it and the rest are behind pay walls. it's giving a cash grab for nostalgia which is really disappointing. i understand the lag and crashes since the game is new so bugs are to be expected. BUT, That doesn't excuse the amount of ads. like $10 for the subway pass? $5 is a more reasonable price.

I love this new Subway Surfers game! It is so awesome! The only thing that makes this game harder than the original is that the running progresses very fast! I love the custom animations for each character and the graphics. Honestly, I think I like this game more than the original. I think there are some bugs though. The terrain doesn't really load for a few seconds after you revive. The pass for other people tend to bother me a bit. THANK YOU SUBWAY SURFERS AND SYBO GAMES! -Hijoon_Rewind

Forced ads and more ads. Compared to the first game, this one has a lot more features and graphics and has new characters and boards every month. Item timers cannot stack causing less fun, and the hitboxes on items are small which makes it hard to catch them in the air. Vents only work if you run directly over them. I don't like the large amount of different currencies that all have limited uses, nor the bubblegum power ups which are bad in tunnels, makes rolling hard, and doing parkour harder.

I can't believe that after 14 years there's finally a second Subway Surfers! I've been playing it on and off for just as long. I LOVE the new features. I like that you have to level up each character separately and that they all have different abilities. I love the multi-level maps, riding on water, all the challenges, the map/city levels. The biggest thing I think should be changed is how slow tickets refill. If I go to bed for a full 8 hours, it should be completely refilled in the morning.

It's a huge improvement for a sequel, as opposed to the original, where things were just speeding up, but here, things are kept interesting with smart usage of obstacles and utility items. It's no longer just running around collecting coins mindlessly. The GUI is great, nice and simple without going overboard. You get shorter, more interesting levels instead of boring marathons. And, of course, no ads at all, which is a rarity these days!

Joshua Young

The most obtrusive ads ever. They start you off with little to no ads and then they get more and more frequent. Many of the ads you cannot escape. You can't back. Even clicking on the play store button and going back to the game does nothing. The game is fun enough but getting stuck in an ad every time I beat a level (that takes about 2 minutes) is so toxic.

Fabian Alvarado

This game is AMAZING! I grew up playing the first one, and have a lot of fun playing the second one as well. But the issue is everything is behind a pay wall for why? An already popular game getting ad revenue because an ad is played every second. This defeats the purpose of the first game. The grind and the reward of playing the game. The cosmetics are lack luster, and the ones that are great are behind a battle pass. I remember buying Lucy with coins and now she is 6 DOLLARS!!!

rayzor

you'd think a new release of a mobile game that's years old wouldn't hit, probably flop, but no. this is one of the best sequels! i don't know how they did it, but it's amazing, only one complaint, more body diversity please, the old subway surfers was great in diversity, now it just feels like the same body type every time, but since it's just released I wouldn't go too harsh on it.

JJ Johnson

This is AWESOME. It's an insanely big upgrade from the first game, which is still great. I can't see anyone who couldn't love this game. Of course, its in its early stages, so its not perfect, but you won't even notice. The graphics, animations, colors, mechanics, and overall gameplay is unbelievable. Only issue is I often have loads of tokens but almost never have enough money. Still, this game just came out, and its already a 100/10. Sybo Games can't make a bad game, KEEP IT UP!

William “Bob” Rack

overall, it's not a bad game. could use some of the aspects from the original game like surfboards with features like super jump and smooth glide. would require some changes to the play areas. Also noticed that after reviving, there have been numerous times when the surfer would instantly crash after reviving, eating up your revival count and killing the ability to get higher scores. A detailed guide to exactly explain how boosts, tokens and other items like that, actually works.

Leila charlrs

Honestly it's kinda better than the original granted I haven't played that game in a minute, I think that's the biggest thing is that a lot like the original when it first came out it's super glitchy and it makes it harder to play when you get to the Fast Parts, but also when you're up on the highest platforms I think that all of the different modes and different features are really cool but are kind of overwhelming, and can become a little too much at times. But still a great game

Sean speller

Subway Surfer city started off good but after time playing this game, I'm starting to see glitches. For example when you are caught by the guard, you have to watch an ad to continue well use a Revival soda. That object is supposed to disappear and you get a fresh run of things out of your way. But sometimes you don't get that fresh start again, instead you just keep crashing into it until the game force you use a Revival of a soda can or give up. This needs to be fixed.
